Monolayer laminates are packaging films made from biaxially oriented polymers. Generally, BOPP, EVOH or PVC are used. Metalized monolayer laminates are also available. Monolayer laminates are primarily utilized as inner linings of food packaging to increase their shelf life. Thanks to their excellent barrier properties, monolayer laminates prevents any form of gaseous exchange between the interior and exterior of the packaging, keeping the freshness, flavor, and odor of the inner contents intact.
